Journal on Applied Analytics, appointment as an associate editor in 2008, and now elevation to the role of editor-in-chief (EIC). In addition to all the EICs under whom I have published, I owe a debt of gratitude to my late colleague, Gene Woolsey of the Colorado School of Mines, one of the founders of the journal.
